This new show features some of the best songs from the 1930's~ from celebrated Broadway shows such as ANYTHING GOES and PORGY & BESS, Hollywood musical films like THE WIZARD OF OZ and BITTERSWEET and great standards from the Big Band era. Songs featured include Irving Berlin’s CHEEK TO CHEEK, Cole Porter’s IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT, The Gershwin’s EMBRACEABLE YOU, Noel Coward’s ZIGEUNER, Harold Arlen’s OVER THE RAINBOW and Jerome Kern’s THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT.

CRAZY FOR GERSHWIN

A tribute to George and Ira Gershwin featuring their hit songs from Broadway and Hollywood such as SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME, THEY CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME, I LOVES YOU, PORGY, and S’WONDERFUL. Also included are songs that Ira wrote with other great composers like Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Kurt Weill. This evening offers classic American songs of originality, wit, vitality, beauty and genius from this legendary songwriting team. and exciting new composers Ricky Ian Gordon and Joseph Thalken.
